MAINTENANCE AND CARE INSTRUCTIONS

We are very proud of the quality of our stainless steel products. All of our house signs and letterbox plates are made with Marine Grade 316 Stainless Steel so they won’t rust, however regular cleaning is essential to keep the plate looking its best especially if you’re living near the coast. 
Tea staining can still occur particularly in coastal areas, even on Marine Grade 316 Stainless Steel and is not covered by warranty. To avoid this happening, we recommend you clean your plate regularly. Begin with once a week for the first month, then every fortnight for 6 months, followed by once every month thereafter or whenever dirty.

Recommended cleaning techniques:

FOR BRUSHED FINISH: Use a good stainless steel cleaner like 3M or Glitz, then spray with Inox to help protect it for longer. If tea staining does appear, it can usually be removed by very lightly rubbing with a non-scratch green scourer, taking care to rub in the same direction as the grain. Take care not to scratch across laser-etching.

FOR MIRROR FINISH: Use Windex and Inox. Never use a scourer to remove stains.
