Installing a house sign is a straightforward but precision-based process that mirrors the same steps we follow for our custom faceplates. Whether it's a powder-coated aluminium sign, stainless steel plaque, or custom laser-cut panel, we begin by holding the sign in place against your chosen surface and levelling it carefully.
Once aligned, we trace around the outside edge with pencil to define its final position. Industrial-grade adhesive is then applied within the traced boundary — with extra care taken to avoid going too close to the edge, as this adhesive bonds so strongly it can pull render from the wall if removed. The sign is then pressed into place and propped or supported while the adhesive sets, which generally takes around 30 minutes. Once cured, we give the surface a gentle clean and remove any temporary braces, leaving a sharp, seamless finish that looks professionally installed and is built to last.
If you're ordering a house sign alongside one of our letterboxes, we’ll take care of everything in advance — attaching it directly to the letterbox prior to collection, delivery, or installation for a neat, ready-to-go presentation.
